Terms of use
Use Campus Scenes with your own university email, don't post about identifiable people, and don't try to break the anonymity of anyone else. Everything below is that, in more words.
You need to be a currently enrolled student at a campus Campus Scenes has opened, and you verify that with an email address on that university's domain. You must be 18 or older. One person, one account. Don't share your login, sell access, or sign up on someone else's behalf.
Your public identity is an anonymous handle - two words, no name, no photo. Your university email is used to prove campus membership and to enforce bans. It is not shown next to anything you post.
Anonymity here means anonymous to other students. It is not anonymity from us and it is not legal anonymity: where the law requires it, or where there is a credible threat to someone's safety, account records can be disclosed to the university or to law enforcement.
You keep ownership of what you write. By posting it you give Campus Scenes a licence to store, display, and distribute it inside your campus's feed for as long as the post exists. Delete the post and that licence ends.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. Everything must follow the community rules, which form part of these terms.
Posts can be removed and accounts suspended or banned at our discretion, with or without notice, when these terms or the community rules are broken. Bans are tied to the university email address. We aim to review reports in hours, but we don't guarantee a response time and we don't promise to catch everything.
Hush is an invite-only area inside Campus Scenes. Applying is free and does not guarantee access; applications are reviewed by a person and can be declined without a reason. A confession is a single sealed message that reveals only on mutual interest. Screenshotting, forwarding, or republishing anything from inside Hush ends Hush access permanently.
Grow is a self-directed challenge for building everyday confidence. It is not therapy, counselling, medical advice, or a crisis service. Never do anything in Grow that is unsafe, illegal, or that you don't want to do. If you are struggling, contact your campus counselling service or your local emergency number.
Campus Scenes is provided as-is. Campuses open and close, features change or get removed, and the service can go down. We don't guarantee uninterrupted access or that anything you post is stored forever.
You can delete your account at any time from the app; your posts and handle go with it. We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.
These terms change as the app does. Material changes are announced in-app before they take effect, and continuing to use Campus Scenes after that means you accept them.
Campus Scenes is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any university named in it.
